What is Cellulite and why do I have it?
Cellulite is a depression of any shape or size with defined edges seeAvélithe surface of the skin, typically on the buttocks or thighs. A major underlying cause of cellulite are the fibrous bands that tether your skin to the structures below. These bands are called septa. Some septa are good (and you want them as connective tethers), but others stiffen or shrink over time and lead to the dimples we see on the surface and call cellulite. It’s important to distinguish cellulite from other concerns like laxity or localized fat, which we can talk you through during a consultation in our office. You should also know that cellulite is not your fault (genetics and hormones play a role), and you are not alone – up to 90% of women have it!

Avéli™ is a no-nonsense approach to treating cellulite based on a deep understanding of women’s anatomy. While many treatments approach cellulite blindly from the outside-in, Avéli™ identifies and releases the primary structural cause of cellulite from the inside-out in a single minimally-invasive procedure with little downtime.

Procedure
Avéli™ addresses the primary structural cause of cellulite and dimples in 3 steps:
- First, the Avéli™ device is carefully guided under the skin directly to the targeted dimples.
- The culprit septa bands causing the dimple(s) are identified and are precisely released.
- Last, results happen in real-time and deliver visibly smoother skin quickly after the procedure.

Recovery
The most common side effects reported were mild pain within the first 24 hours and bruising and tenderness to the touch which typically resolved within 30 days. Some patients returned to normal activities within one day of the procedure and most within a week. As with any medical procedure, there are risks associated with the procedure. Breast Lift & Implant Exchange
Dr. Mowlds is THE next generation of great plastic surgeons here in Newport Beach! His attention to detail and perfection while remaining realistic in the results obtained, gives you confidence in his consistent outstanding outcomes. Breast Revision
Dr. Mowlds is the absolute BEST at what he does. I had a botched breast augmentation, which was causing me serious health concerns, chronic chest and back pain. Breast Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Mowlds is a phenomenal surgeon and I feel so blessed to have had him do my surgery!! I had symmastia breast reconstructive surgery done by Dr. Mowlds. I had lived the last 15 years with my breasts looking like a “uni-boob.” I felt so self conscious for many years. I also breast fed 2 kids so I had a lot of rippling and loss of saline in my old implants. Dr. Mowlds was extremely honest, caring and helpful with making the decision to fix my breasts. Tummy Tuck & Breast Implants
I am SO HAPPY with my new body!! January 2021, Dr. Mowlds replaced my breast implants and gave me a full tummy tuck. My scars are so minimal! The man has good hands!
