Breast Augmentation Simulator

One of the most frequently expressed concerns among patients contemplating breast augmentation is the desire to visualize their potential outcomes prior to the procedure. To address this, I am pleased to offer a complimentary breast augmentation simulator, a 3D visualization application accessible via mobile device. This application allows you to explore various implant sizes privately and at your convenience before your consultation. By previewing your personalized renderings, you can ensure that we are aligned on your vision from the outset of our discussion.

Simulate Your Dream Breasts Before Surgery

The app I use is called MyArbrea, and I’ve made it available to prospective patients with my personal clinic code: DRMOWLDS. It’s free. Your photos never leave the app — nothing is stored, saved, or shared without your permission. This is a private experience designed for you to explore at your own pace.

Here’s how to use it and start visualizing your goals!

  1. Download MyArbrea from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Enter code DRMOWLDS to connect your simulations to my practice.
  3. Take 3 photos of your chest following the app’s guided prompts (front and both sides).
  4. Simulate your potential results — adjust your breast size in real time.
  5. Save and share your favorite renderings with me ahead of your consultation, or bring the simulations with you.

Most patients spend 10–15 minutes with the simulator the first time. Many come back to it over several days as their preferences evolve — which is exactly the point.

Why I Offer a 3D Breast Simulator to Every Patient

MYARBREA BREAST SIMULATOR

In my practice, I prioritize achieving a natural result that appears authentic to the individual. This is only attainable when we are in agreement on the concept of “natural” for the patient’s body, as verbal descriptions alone are often insufficient.

Descriptions such as “full C” or “slightly larger” are subjective. A 350cc silicone implant may appear differently on a 5’2” patient compared to a 5’9” patient. Factors like chest width, existing breast tissue, skin elasticity, and shape significantly influence the appearance of an implant on an individual.

A breast augmentation simulator eliminates the uncertainty. Instead of attempting to visualize a result, patients can observe it on their own photographs, rendered in three dimensions from various angles. This simulator serves as the closest approximation to a “try-before-you-buy” experience for cosmetic surgery, contributing to the increased productivity and reduced anxiety during my consultations compared to those reported at other practices.

What You Can Visualize

The simulator isn't just a size slider. You can preview:

  • Implant volume: Compare different CC sizes side by side on your own body.
  • Symmetry: Adjust each side independently (most women have some natural asymmetry)
  • Shape & nipple placement adjustment: Including how a lift might change your result if we're discussing a combined augmentation-mastopexy

What it can't replace is a surgical evaluation — things like your tissue thickness, muscle anatomy, and skin quality still need an in-person exam. Think of the simulator as your starting point, not the final plan.

  • Projection & profile: Further refinement and customization of implant selection will be performed in the office by simulating moderate, high, moderate-high or extra-high profile implants.

Why This Matters: From Guessing to Informed Decision-Making

Breast augmentation has one of the highest revision rates in plastic surgery — and a large percentage of those revisions happen because the result didn't match the patient's expectation. Not because the surgery was bad, but because there was a communication gap.

As someone who has built a significant part of my practice around revision and reconstructive cases, I can tell you: the best revision is the one you never need. Using a simulator upfront is one of the most effective ways I've found to prevent "I wish I'd gone bigger" (or smaller) regret.

This is also why I am consistently innovating new surgical techniques, publish in the plastic surgery literature, and lecture other surgeons on breast aesthetics — because decisions made with better information produce better outcomes. The simulator is an extension of that same philosophy, placed directly in your hands.

Your Privacy Is Protected

I understand taking photos of your chest — even privately, on your own phone — requires trust. A few things worth knowing:

  • Your photos stay on your device and within the MyArbrea environment
  • Nothing is automatically transmitted to my practice
  • You control if and when you share your simulations with me
  • I only see what you choose to send

After You Simulate — The Next Step

When you come in for your Newport Beach consultation, we'll look at your simulations together. I'll give you my honest take — sometimes I agree with a patient's goal, sometimes I'll recommend we adjust based on what your anatomy can support aesthetically. That conversation, with visuals in front of us, is where the real plan gets built.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. MyArbrea is free to download, and there's no charge to use it with my clinic code (DRMOWLDS).
Modern 3D simulators like MyArbrea are remarkably accurate for visualizing size and shape changes, but they're a planning tool — not a guarantee. Your final result depends on your anatomy, healing, implant selection, and surgical technique. I use the simulator as a communication tool, not a contract.
Absolutely. Many people use MyArbrea purely out of curiosity, or while weighing whether breast augmentation is right for them. There's no obligation.
The app's primary strength is augmentation visualization, but it can give useful previews of lift outcomes as well. For patients who are uncertain about the necessity of a lift following augmentation, the completed simulation demonstrates the anticipated breast tissue and nipple location with the selected implant in place. This enables informed decision-making regarding the potential need for a lift to achieve the desired outcome.
Both — MyArbrea is available on iOS and Android.
Most patients complete their first simulation in under 15 minutes. You can revisit and adjust as many times as you want.
