Consultation

During the consultation we will focus on creating a treatment plan that addresses your goals and fulfills your expectations. It is important for me to understand your motivation for undergoing labiaplasty so that we can accurately discuss the expected benefits of the procedure.

We will thoroughly review the surgery and time course of healing. My goal is to restore the labia to an aesthetically pleasing size and shape, eliminating irritation and discomfort while improving sexual pleasure and confidence.

Surgery

The labiaplasty procedure is performed at an accredited surgery center in Newport Beach, California, USA. Depending on your preference, sedation and local anesthesia or general anesthesia (fully asleep) are administered by a Board Certified Anesthesiologist to ensure maximal comfort and safety. The length of the procedure depends on the degree of shaping required, however, typically lasts 1.5 hours.

The incisions are disguised in the natural folds of the labia and generally heal very well, minimizing long-term visibility.

Recovery

Patients are discharged home the same day and generally experience minimal discomfort, often returning to work the week following surgery. Patients are encouraged to wear loose-fitting clothing for at least a week while the incisions heal. A cold compress or ice pack may be applied for comfort. I ask my patients to avoid strenuous exercise or sexual activity for 6 weeks following the procedure in order to ensure optimal healing.

Results

The swelling takes several weeks to subside after which the results are visible. The results are typically long-lasting provided there is no physical trauma or further childbirth. Patients routinely express a high degree of satisfaction after undergoing this procedure.

FAQs

I ask my patients to refrain from sexual intercourse or tampon insertion for 6 weeks following labiaplasty to allow the surgical site to heal and fully recover.

It is ok to shower 48 hours after surgery, however, please avoid scrubbing or soaking the surgery site. I will evaluate the progress of your healing during follow-up visits and instruct you on the proper time to return to baths and swimming.

    Breast Revision
